The Riviera Range

The 2021 launch of the new Riviera at Watches and Wonders saw a new range of time and date models released into the horological world. Causing a stir with its angular case and twelve sided bezel, featuring a variety of sizes, mesmerizing dial colours and choice of case material, the Riviera has shaken up the expectations of an ever more demanding industry.

Riviera for Women

Presented in a 36mm case the Riviera for women is quite the statement piece – unlike any other on the current market. The striking relief dial sits within the dodecagonal bezel, of which on two of the four models is diamond set amounting to 0.11CT. Dials are offered in a sun satin turquoise blue, silver or black. We are presented with a choice of a Swiss Made quartz movement for the blue and black or a Swiss Made automatic or quartz in the silver dial. The black dial model (ref 10613) is delivered on a black rubber strap with the other models on a steel 3 link bracelet. As with all Baume and Mercier watches, strap interchangeability is simple and done without the requirement for tools – thus enabling the owner to change the personality and feel of their watch easily. The Riviera for women brings a watch that can undoubtedly cross between daily, laid back and sport and certainly wouldn’t shy away from a more dressy occasion!

Riviera for men

The men’s range of Riviera is available in two case sizes. All variants are automatic in terms of movement, the 42mm is equipped with the Swiss Made Sellita SW200 with sweeping seconds and a date function, offering a 38 hour power reserve, presented through the display case back. Dial colours available include satin blue, black, green and silver over the subtly textured chevron design. The angular case is reflected in the twelve sided bezel which features four locking screws. The signed winding crown follows the case with an eight sided design with a radial groove that allows extra purchase for ease of use. Easily changed strap options include coloured rubber straps with signed tri-folding clasps or the immaculately designed three link satin bracelet.

The flagship 43mm Baumatic models are powered by the mighty BM13-1975A movement, boasting a 5 day power reserve of which can be observed via the unique transparent skeleton style dial or through the sapphire case back. Two variants are currently available in the Baumatic Riviera range, the 10616 in stainless with blue dial mounted on a satin stainless steel bracelet or the 10617, and ADLC steel case in black with smokey grey dial and delivered on a complimenting black rubber strap.
